AIWA New England supports Armenian women in New England through networking, educational, artistic, and social events. We promote local authors, scholars, and creators through book talks, exhibits and screenings.  We are currently developing a mentorship program for women seeking to advance their careers.

AIWA's New England Affiliate raises funds for WEP,  the Women's Entrepreneurship Program based at American University of Armenia, which educates women entrepreneurs and encourages new and existing businesses run by women in Armenia (read more). We also raise funds for the Women's Support Center in Yerevan (read more) which provides support and shelter to women and children who have experienced domestic violence.

AIWA New England funds the Olga Proudian scholarship in diplomacy and international relations. (read more)

AIWA New England, along with AGBU Young Professionals and the Armenian Business Network, hosted a day of career advice networking, and presentations at Northeastern University. The free, all-day event featured coaching, advice on LinkedIn networking, free headshots, and more, all to benefit Armenian students and young professionals.



Lights, Camera, Stories!

September 23, 2018

An evening with documentary filmmaker Bared Maronian at the Scottish Rite Museum and Library in Lexington, MA, featured Maronian's Women of 1915, Titanic Love, and video from Armenia's Velvet Revolution. We raised over $12,000 to benefit the Women’s Support Center in Yerevan and the Hanganak NGO Clinic Elderly Project in Stepanakert.
